Micup is a barista standard, reusable coffee cup designed from the latest innovation in sustainable materials.
The coffee industry continues to grow globally at roughly 1.4% annually, and with it comes an increasing demand for takeaway coffee cups. These cups are largely non-recyclable and increasingly contribute to landfill and waste management issues, raising awareness in coffee-loving countries of the growing coffee cup problem.
Developing Micup, we didn’t want to solve one problem by developing another problem – namely reusable cups that uses the same inferior oil-based plastics they deride in takeaway coffee cups. So while reusable alternatives exist – ceramic mugs, plastic flasks and thermos’ and other oil-based coffee cups – none of them represent the future. Micup’s philosophy is based on finding environmentally friendly solutions that compete with plastics (as well as steel, aluminium and other non-renewable materials) economically, while maintaining the advantages and benefits of being sustainable. This ensures the movement toward easily adapted sustainable options for everyday living can be available to everyone.
While conventional options drive some awareness, Micup has developed through over 2 years of research and development to go the extra mile of innovation.
